Scam Warning
It has come to our
attention that NBI Computer Services
has been a victim of a ongoing
phishing scam. While we have
not had any reports of any incidents
of this in over 2 years, as always
we wish people to be aware that this
can happen and be careful.
A person or
persons with a strong non U.S.
accent made telephone calls
directed at random individuals. They
were representing them selves as
sales people working for NBI
(remember the person can say they
are from whatever company they want
to) and
were offering a free laptop computer
or other valuable gift. In
order to ship the gift to you they
asked for personal and or credit information
to "make sure the gift was being
sent to the right person and
address.
If you get a phone
call from any person representing
them selves as a sales rep. working from NBI
and they offer you anything for free
however they
require personal and or credit
information in order for you to
receive the "free" gift
do not
give them any information personal
or credit.
Do not buy anything
from them. You will receive nothing
and your credit or personal
information will be used without
your knowledge or permission.
It has been and
will remain the
policy of NBI Computer Services Inc.
1.
not use telemarketing calls to our
existing customers or to make calls
to try to solicit new customers. The
only time you will be contacted by
us is if you called us first and we
are returning your call.
2. We have never and have no plans
to out-source our computer
support or sales departments to any
other country.
Again If you receive a call from
anybody offering you something for
free do
not give the caller any information.
If you provided any information CALL
YOUR FINANCIAL INSTITUTION
IMMEDIATELY AND TELL THEM WHAT
HAPPENED. CLOSE YOUR
ACCOUNTS AND BANK AND CREDIT CARDS
AND HAVE TOUR BANKS OR OTHER
AGENESES ISSUE NEW ONES WITH NEW
NUMBERS BEFORE ANY DAMAGE IS DONE.
Thank you and be careful.
